Instructions for Authors

ScholarOne Manuscripts
This journal uses ScholarOne Manuscripts (previously Manuscript Central) to peer review manuscript submissions. Please read the guide for ScholarOne authors before making a submission. Complete guidelines for preparing and submitting your manuscript to this journal are provided below.

***Note to Authors: please make sure your contact address information is clearly visible on the outside of all packages you are sending to Editors.***

Unless agreed otherwise all accepted papers become the copyright of Teacher Development.

All contributions (including where relevant, abstract, quotations, tabular material, references, etc.) should be presented in English. Each contribution should bear a title, name(s) of the author(s) and full contact address (including electronic mail address and telephone number) for proofs and correspondence.

Normally, articles should be between 5000 and 8000 words, although in exceptional circumstances longer articles are considered, and should contain in addition to the main text:

All submissions should be made via Teacher Development's ScholarOne Manuscript site.  Submitting authors should first create an account by clicking on the 'Create Account' button in the top-right corner.  Manuscripts are submitted via the 'Author Centre'.

All manuscripts should be original, unpublished works not under consideration for publication elsewhere.  Authors should provide two versions of their paper, one containing full author(s) contact affiliations and details, and one anonymous copy to allow for blinded peer-review.
All pages should be numbered. Footnotes to the text should be avoided. Sponsorship of research reported (e.g. by research councils, government departments and agencies, etc.) should be declared. To allow refereeing, all submissions must be properly formatted for anonymous reviewing. Authors' names, institutions and email addresses should be typed on a separate sheet and submitted with the manuscript. The full postal and email address of the author who will check proofs and receive correspondence and offprints should also be included.

Each paper should be accompanied on separate sheets by an abstract of 100 to 150 words, and five keywords which describe the content, methodological approaches and distinctive findings of the research. These keywords will be used to support online searches so it is important that they represent your article as comprehensively as possible.
